This Privacy Policy describes how Kenny John Jacob (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating the educational web application LeetGuide (https://leetcode.kennyj.me), collects, processes, stores, and protects personal data.
We are dedicated to safeguarding the digital privacy of all visitors and registered users in strict accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, specifically:

2. Categories of Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum personal data necessary to provide an interactive educational coaching service:
A. Authentication Data
When you sign in using OAuth identity providers (Google or GitHub), we collect your display name, email address, profile avatar URL, and unique provider account identifier. We do not store or manage passwords on our platform.
B. Application State & Progress
We store problem solving records (unstarted, in-progress, solved), editor code drafts, custom user notes, preferred editor themes/keybindings (Vim mode), and completion timestamps. In guest mode, this data is stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage; upon authentication, it synchronizes with our cloud database (Google Cloud Firestore).
C. AI Tutor Interaction Payloads
When you request assistance from the AI Tutor, your active code snippet, problem identifier, and optional chat prompt are transmitted over encrypted TLS to our backend proxy, which forwards the prompt payload to the Google Gemini API for inference.
D. Aggregated Telemetry
We gather anonymous, aggregated technical metrics including page views, visit timestamps, approximate device screen resolutions, and session durations to improve platform performance and uptime.
3. Payment Data Privacy & Financial Security
Zero Financial Instrument Storage Policy:
LeetGuide does not collect, capture, view, or store any debit or credit card numbers, card expiration dates, CVVs, UPI PINs, net banking login credentials, or banking passwords on its servers.
All checkout operations and payment transactions are processed entirely through Razorpay Payment Gateway (Razorpay Software Private Limited), an RBI-authorized payment aggregator operating in full compliance with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Level 1 certification.
We only receive a transaction reference receipt from Razorpay containing your Payment ID, Order ID, amount paid, and pass duration required to provision your digital access.
4. How We Use Your Information
Your information is processed strictly for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and personalize the algorithmic workspace and progress tracker;
- To facilitate cloud synchronization of your code drafts across multiple devices;
- To process one-time digital pass purchases and activate your Pro features;
- To stream real-time Socratic feedback via our backend AI Tutor proxy;
- To respond to user inquiries, grievance requests, and technical support notices.
We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or brokers.
5. User Rights & Permanent Erasure Under DPDP Act
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you enjoy statutory rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of Access & Summary: You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right of Correction: You can request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal records.
- Right of Permanent Erasure: You can request the complete and irreversible deletion of your account, cloud documents, and saved progress.
How to Request Permanent Account Deletion:
Users can request permanent erasure of their account and all associated personal data by sending an email from their registered email address to [email protected] with the subject line: “Account and Data Deletion Request”.
Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will permanently purge your user profile, Firestore progress documents, and draft entries within fifteen (15) working days.
6. Statutory Grievance Redressal Mechanism
In accordance with Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the details of our designated Grievance Redressal Officer are provided below:
